Z Crew is Gonna Hire Out as Rain Makers!

Last night, the conversation went sort of like this:

“Dad, will you cut wheat tomorrow?” – Taylor

“We should be able to, if it doesn’t rain tonight”. – Jim

This is what we woke up to:

SERIOUSLY! Do you see the blue dot? That’s where we’re at. Do you see any other weather ANYWHERE in the Midwest? Good grief!

Late yesterday afternoon, we decided to make a quick Walmart run to Woodward and Callie was really craving Braum’s. Why doesn’t this wonderfully tasting food and ice cream make its way as far North as Omaha? Prior to making the drive to Woodward, Jim took the girls on a “little” drive. They were going to check out a field of wheat just across the border into Texas. Yes, if it EVER dries up, we will be moving the Yellow Beast across the border for more acres. At least we’ll be able to tell people we cut wheat in Texas this year now.

When the crew returned, we loaded up and headed North for Woodward. We decided, however, to save Braum’s for ice cream dessert and opted to eat at “Big Dan’s”. Good choice. It was a good local restaurant. The bad thing, I was too full to indulge in ice cream. Hopefully, we’ll be able to make it to Braum’s one more time before getting too far North this year.

ANOTHER RAIN DAY!

What do you do after you’ve already been sitting for three days? Laundry, movie watching (limited tv channels) and a quick trip to ALCO for the heck of it. Oh…and Sonic. You know – Happy Hour every day from 2 – 4. The rain that moved in very early this morning sat on us for hours. There were some fairly large puddles out our front door that had the kids been smaller, I GUARANTEE they would have been playing in them.

LOVE our free t’s!

Pretty sure it’s been confirmed by the “My Radar” picture – the Z Crew needs to begin hiring out as rain makers!
