cold? you don’t know cold til you’ve experienced canadian cold!

So, this is what it looked like when we arrived in Calgary on December 3. It had been close to 60 degrees just the day before at home. I mentioned to someone that I had seen Lethbridge was expecting -27 degrees Farenheit for lows while we were there – they reassured me that was Celsius. They were wrong! The coldest it got was -45 degrees and that was most definitely Farenheit!

The was the “non-machinery” year for the ACCHI. They have equipment to crawl on and look under and pick apart every other year. Next year, in Saskatoon, the machinery will be there for everyone to see. The hotel we stayed at had beautiful rooms. Jim and I decided we could live here. I most definitely could use one of these – a walk-in closet!
These next series of pictures are of our trip from Lethbridge to Calgary. Oh…how I wish I could share the extreme cold with you! Thank you, Jerry and Lynn, for being our chauffeurs. We certainly had a great time!
So, once we started seeing the outskirts of Calgary, I really wanted to see more than just the frost on my window. I found that by placing my thumb on the window, I could actually melt it (a little at a time) and created a hole big enough to see something.
